we's cheap in Paterson
Because everyone in Paterson is so broke, tradition has it that we make a birthday card for the birthday girl or boy instead of buying them or getting them presents. Here is the card I made for my gay buddy Rhodri-Evan Walter Patmore.
FRONT:
INSIDE:
All that's left to do is get everyone to sign it, teachers and all, and hope he doesn't hear about it until I give him the card.
Here's to a post (finally).

Hagakure: Three related quotes
From: "Cache-22"
Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2007 12:14:11 -0800 (PST)
Subject: [The Luciferian Society] Hagakure
Three more related quotes, all from the first chapter:
Anyone have any thoughts? I see these as helpful reminders and shifts
in point of view concerning The Work...
"Throughout your life advance daily, becoming more skillful than
yesterday, more skillful than today. This is never-ending. "
"Although the Mean is the standard for all things, in military affairs
a man must always strive to outstrip others. According to archery
instructions the right and left hands are supposed to be level, but the
right hand has a tendency to go higher. They will become level if one
will lower the right hand a bit when shooting. In the stories of the
elder warriors it is said that on the battlefield if one wills himself
to outstrip warriors of accomplishment, and day and night hopes to
strike down a powerful enemy, he will grow indefatigable and fierce of
heart and will manifest courage. One should use this principle in
everyday affairs too."
"It is not good to settle into a set of opinions. It is a mistake to
put forth effort and obtain some understanding and then stop at that.
At first putting forth great effort to be sure that you have grasped
the bastes, then practicing so that they may come to fruition is
something that will never stop for your whole lifetime. Do not rely on
following the degree of understanding that you have discovered, but
simply think, "This is not enough.""

Pastor Green continues our journey
through the Psalms as we explore
the vivid imagery and holy anger of
Psalm 58. In trying times,
God’s people can say with confidence,
“Surely there is a reward for the righteous;
surely He is God who judges in the earth.”
