This training has helped me quite a bit for my latest assignment. I was able to capture the actual shift on film and narrative how the Autopilot Traffic Machine really works.

The Blogger acct of another (admin) team member on my group blog (http://hagakure419.blogspot.com) was hacked on Tuesday. The intruder deleted H419 - which had been quite active and had archives going back to April.

I reacquired the url, reinstated our template from a backup and rescued the blog's monthly archive pages from the Google cache.

My question: is there some way to restore all those lost entries automatically - either from the saved archive pages, or from some backup of yours? Given it's a team blog, going back and reposting all the entries individually by hand isn't really feasible.

from out of town, and both drinking the same beer - full flavored, never
light and straight from the bottle.

As if on cue, both men flipped open their wireless and dialed home to
"tuck" their 4 year olds in for the night. It was like these two were
the same guy, sharing the same life.

Neither knew it at the time, but both were in town for the same
seminar,and ironically enough both were in the same business.

Frank and Rich were successful magicians. They began their new careers
around the same time, each even using their dining room tables as
makeshift home offices. And both men did all they could to continue
educating themselves on magic.

After a second beer, these two were laughing like old friends, as they
went on about the trials and troubles of hitting those same milestones
early in their trek.

day they told their boss to "take this job and shove it."

Once the conversation turned to actual dollars and cents, Frank spoke

Day of rest. Day of relaxation. Day of religious appreciation, if you're into that kinda thing.

Only, there's one problem with all of that.

I have half an hour 'til I'm meant to meet up a friend who previously skipped town and has now come crawling back (sucker). In this instance it's not simply my poor time management skill that has me feeling like time is draining away between my fingertips, this was a spur of the moment engagement.

But, it's all good. We'll have a nice coffee, she'll share with me her impressions of the urban hellhole that is Sydney, and we'll otherwise talk shit. Then I can continue the homework marathon.

I don't like being one of those folk that just talk about skool all the time, but, this is a really weird semester for me. I'm doing one normal* class, but, in addition to that, I've got a mulah-hungry ex-PR industry....person, who, in return for credit from a previous class, is assigning me random pieces of (crappy) assessment. Last time it was Nike, that's 20% out of the way. This time it's bottled water. I have to pull a creative brief out of my ass for a *new* brand of bottled water. At the risk of sounding like a 3 year old, I don't wanna!!

It's all good though. It will be Drop of Life, and it will be the best damn water you've ever had in your life. (Even if it doesn't actually exist.)

*If having a lecturer with whom you have drunk heaps of beer in times gone past & having a tutor who's younger than you are could be construed as normal.

Sometimes I wonder what the benefits are of breaking the law.

For instance, if on a whim I decided that, after never having listen to the band Zebrahead very much, I wanted to listen to their entire album, what would be the benefits of downloading it?

This diagram below shows what it would look like if I had downloaded the album in only 15 minutes.

As you can see, it wouldn't have taken long. All 14 songs would have been downloaded before I knew it and I would have been quite impressed by the efficiency of it all. In this sort of hypothetical situation I'd like to point out that if ever I downloaded an album instead of buying it, I would later go to the shops and buy and an album that I would otherwise have downloaded. It evens things out.

So, the benefits of breaking the law, it's easy and convenient. But is it really worth the price of my soul?

I can't believe it's Sunday. Where does the time go etc, etc? I've been too busy to even chase male tail. What's with that?

I've got too much to say to be able to say it efficiently in a five minute post.

But, I'll give it a go:

- I respect Bentendo's laudible decision to stay out of jail, as fun as full-time, compulsory institutions are. Personally speaking though, I've decided on an appropriate outlet for my affinity for flameage: fire-twirling. It won't happen overnight, but, it will happen.
- The cats are gorgeous. My fave is the first one. It's got all the moves.
- I've been whimsically eating some strange food combos recently that tasted quite good to me (and, no, I'm not pregnant) the most interesting of which are lettuce & lemon sorbet, and crushed-up Tim Tams & couscous.
- I've decided to give up even thinking about maintaining an individual blog again. Despite having acquired some worthwhile & interesting relationships via that medium, the desire and energy to do so again just isn't there for me right now.
- My song of the day is Gary Jules cover of Mad World. It has more impact in the movie, but, still, an awesome song.
- I've so gone over my five min, so....
- In the interests of getting my assignment done and graduating sometime before I die, I will head off and try to finish my written waffle on the amazing triumph of fraud marketing over truth that is the Nike brand. If anyone is feels a deep and abiding yearning for the inside of a prison cell, feel free to firebomb their head office with my full blessing.

things i did today

today i quit my job. they said some stuff that pissed me off and then i walked out. it was cool. then i drank some beer and cooked dinner, then i drank some more beer. in fact i'm drinking beer as of this minute. i also watched some tv. then i talked to a long lost friend on the phone. so overall a productive day. the events chronicled are not necessarily in chronological order or correctly spelt, whatever. tomorrow i will get another job, and then i will have something new to complain about. so, sorry friends no more cut rate appliances.
